Hello Members! My name is Sabrina Norton, and I am thrilled to be your new Events Director at Great Harbor Yacht Club. I will be managing all of the Club’s private event needs. Whether it’s weddings, private dinners, fundraisers, or everything in between – I look forward to working with each and every one you. I am a Nantucket native, born and raised right here. For 25 years, I was brought up hands-on in the restaurant industry thanks to my family owning Fog Island Café downtown. After graduating from Nantucket High School, I carried on my education at Endicott College and graduated with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. My husband Gaven and I spent our years after college spearheading the opening and operations of Keepers Restaurant on Amelia Drive for my parents. It was a successful island favorite that thrived under our management for five years before my family decided to close their chapter with restaurant ownership and move onto other ventures. My passion for hospitality continued to grow from there. I spent the following summer planning events for PPX Events and managing parties of all kinds for Island Kitchen Catering. My love of this island and desire to pursue event leadership led me to Great Harbor Yacht Club. This past year I worked hand in hand with Sarah Storie to learn everything private events at GHYC. Given the high standard of Great Harbor and my professional background, I am beyond excited to oversee the next generation of perfect celebrations and gatherings at the Club. In my free time, my husband and I enjoy the life of island locals. We cherish spending time at the beach, dining out at our favorite restaurants, traveling to St. John for vacation, and playing paddle tennis together.
