GHYC is proud to be a part of the Nantucket community. Our community efforts have focused on Nantucket's waterfront where we are engaged in a number of programs to enhance the health of the harbor. GHYC cosponsors Nantucket Race Week and hosts its Family BBQ - benefitting Nantucket Community Sailing. We have committed to the construction of a community bike path from Washington Street through the rotary to Monomoy. We also plan to reach out to our members and staff to become more involved with Nantucket Clean Team, founded by GHYC member Bill Connell, which organizes environmental clean-ups around the island.
