Stephen Creese, General Manager
Prior to joining the Great Harbor Yacht Club, Stephen held the position of General Manager at the Annapolis Yacht Club. With nearly three decades in the hospitality industry Stephen has a keen interest in fine food and wine. Stephen arrived in Maryland in 1993 to run the famed Inn at Perry Cabin an Orient Express Hotel.
Prior to joining the Great Harbor Yacht Club, Stephen held the position of General Manager at the Annapolis Yacht Club. With nearly three decades in the hospitality industry Stephen has a keen interest in fine food and wine. Stephen arrived in Maryland in 1993 to run the famed Inn at Perry Cabin an Orient Express Hotel.
A concerned philanthropist, Stephen has been a member of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity, the Humane Society, the Cancer Society and numerous other nonprofit, community based organizations in his home town community of St. Michaels, Maryland.
A native of England, Stephen became a US citizen in 2002. His wife Emily along with their two children William (Will 11 years old) and Alexandria (Alex 15 years old) look forward to becoming engaged in the Nantucket community as they will be year round residents. The entire Creese family will arrive on island by the time our members arrive for the season.

Tom Berry, Executive Chef
Top Boston talent Tom Berry comes to GHYC following an impressive career with stints in both Boston and Nantucket. Tom began his professional career as Celebrity Chef Ming Tsai's right hand with the opening of Blue Ginger. Working with Tsai for five years, he last served as Tsai's Executive Sous Chef, where he was responsible for the entire kitchen, including recipe development and testing for the restaurant's menu as well as Ming's books and Food Network shows. He left Blue Ginger for his first Executive Chef position as opening chef of Bambara at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge. He was named Best Up & Coming Chef in the Improper Bostonian's 2003 "Boston's Best" issue. During the summer of 2005, Tom spent a season on Nantucket as Executive Chef at Straight Wharf, before returning to Boston where he served as Executive Chef at Cambridge gastropub Temple Bar. At GHYC, Tom will head up the culinary team and oversee menu planning, preparation, and service at all Club as well as the Club's banquet operations.

Nicole Carole, Controller
Nicole graduated from Le Moyne College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. After college Nicole spent some time auditing with a CPA firm in Rome, NY. She moved to the island in 2007 where she took on the role of Controller at Grey Lady Marine. In April of 2009, Nicole became a full-time member of the management staff at Great Harbor Yacht Club assisting Stacey Leo, the CFO, with the day to day financial operations. Nicole also manages Human Resources for the Club as well.

Stacy Fader, Spa & Fitness Director
This is Stacy's 3rd season overseeing GHYC's state-of-the-art SPORTS BARN facility, programs and staff. Stacy has an impressive background in the spa industry with more than 10 years experience as a nationally certified massage therapist and skin care specialist, who's worked at places near (exclusive New England resorts) and trained in places far (Thailand and Fiji). She has assembled an incredible team of talented personal trainers, fitness instructors, and Salon and Spa Professionals. Most recently, Stacy travelled to West Africa where she participated in establishing a women's Fair Trade Shea Butter Cooperative. With this, she developed her own line of Fair Trade Skin, Hair and Body products which can be found in the spa.

Corey Gammill, Fishing Director
Corey oversees GHYC's fishing program, which is focused on educating members of all ages and levels on how, where and when to fish the waters of Nantucket. Corey has long-time fishing ties to Nantucket having worked as a Captain and First Mate in the local fishing charter business for the last eleven years. In 2005, he became co-owner of Bill Fisher Tackle, a Nantucket fishing tackle shop. Corey is also a certified USCG U.S. Merchant Marine Officer. In the off-season, Corey has held teaching and coaching positions at Avon Old Farms in Avon, CT. During the summer, he runs Nantucket Learning Group, a tutoring service for children K-12 that he also founded. Corey holds degrees from Acton (MBA) and Colby College (BA).

Carolyn Grant, Sailing & Waterfront Director
Carolyn runs the adult and junior sailing programs and all waterfront activities including, kayaking, motor boating and launch service. As Waterfront Director for GHYC she draws from her corporate management experience as well as her teaching, seamanship and sailing experience. She's been a competitive dinghy sailor since she was 10 years old in Washington, DC and the Chesapeake Bay. She has been racing competitively on keel boats since 1984.

After graduating from the University of Virginia in Marketing and Communication Studies, she worked in the Meetings and Convention industry for 10 years. In 1998, she took a two-year hiatus to sail around the world. Upon her return in 2001 she was a J-World Instructor and then the Head Coach of the Hampton University Sailing Team for 6 years. Logging more than 25,000 offshore miles, she has her USCG 100 Ton Masters License and is also a certified power boat instructor. She continues to sail competitively on her J22 and also on Nantucket's beloved International One Design (IOD) where she is a three-time World Champion bowperson.

Don Kolp, Food & Beverage Manager
Don Kolp oversees our Food & Beverage staff to ensure that our member's enjoy the best dining experience on Nantucket. Don, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, has decades of restaurant experience both in and out of the kitchen. His experience as executive chef in several restaurants, including the Brant Point Grill at the White Elephant, affords him the knowledge of how to manage the dining experience from the kitchen to the table. Don was also instrumental in the re-launch of the Brotherhood of Thieves, where he served as general manager for several years. Don has been active members of the Nantucket community for years and support many local organizations including Dana Farber Cancer Institute fundraisers.

Stacey Leo, Chief Financial Officer
Stacey joined the GHYC team in May 2007 transitioning from her role as CFO at Grey Lady Marine. Prior to Nantucket, Stacey worked as a Financial Analyst in Norwalk, CT in the hospitality industry. Stacey is a graduate of Clarkson University with a BS in Financial Information and Analysis.

John Luyrink, Tennis & Swim Director
After graduating from Bates College, John played for two years on the Professional Tennis Circuit in the United States and Europe. He moved to Nantucket in 1992 to become the owner and operator of the Brant Point Racquet Club. In 2002, John and his wife, Carol, founded the Nantucket Tennis & Swim Club, which was acquired by GHYC in May 2007. They live on Nantucket and in Central Massachusetts with their three sons, Jack, Matthew and Benjamin.

Megan Maltby, Member Services Director
Long-time islander Megan coordinates all aspects of the membership process and fosters communication between the members and the management team. Megan is also responsible for all print and marketing materials for the Club. Megan, a graduate of Syracuse University, lives on Nantucket with her husband, Andy, and two sons, Curtis and Griffin.
